Trip to town...

Mom and Dad came to Austin today for lunch with Sandi. Ollie, Danny and Robert (who then had to go to work). We all thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic baby back ribs that Ollie grilled (okay, my potato salad and beans were pretty good too, if I do say so myself!!!)!

After lunch Mom and I spent about 4 hours running around while Danny, Ollie and Dad visited at our house. Danny and Ollie spent a good bit of time seeing how well Dad could write. He did great with smaller words like "rat". Then Ollie tested him by asking him to write "Marble Falls!" Dad said a big "Hah" when Ollie said to write that one, but, lo and behold, he could almost do it!!!

Glenda got to run by for a little while to make a Whole Foods delivery for Mom. Actually, nothing very exciting, just Glucosamine! Oh well, it can't always be fun stuff!!! Not fun, but necessary to help Mom!

When Mom and I got back to the house Dad and the guys were outside enjoying our gorgeous weather! I feel so sorry for everyone else who is suffering from earthquakes, flooding and winter snow storms. We've been so very blessed with a week of outstanding weather in Austin!

Last, but not least, Dad's legs are surprisingly stronger! He amazed us when he was able to step up into the Suburban when they were loading up to go home! He grabs hold of the handle by the door of the vehicle and pulls and lifts at the same time! He's got it going!!! More progress!!! Thank you with all our hearts for being faithful with your prayers for his progress!! They're working!!!
